help what sensor is this

ok i cant give much info being im not exactly sure so hope you guys can tell me what sensor this is anyways.

i need to know what is on the intake manifold infront of the carb?

this is on a 86 lg4 if that helps at all

The canister purge thermal vacuum switch is mounted directly in the manifold, and has 2 large vacuum lines going to it; and the EFE thermal vacuum switch (with 2 small vacuum lines) and the ECM's coolant temp sensor (with 2 wires) are mounted in the water outlet.

i figured it out it was the coolent temp sensor i went to the auto part store the other day and they gave me the wrong sensor and i couldnt figure out why until but i did and now iv got the write part hmm wonder if this engine will come back to life now
