Ok, here we go.
#1 They had two different kinds of resistors there, 1/2 watt and 1/4 watt, I got the 1/2 watt ones, did I make the right call?
#2 How do I hook them up to the wires? Do I just hook it to one wire? Do I cross the two? Hook it up to one and then ground it out? Can I just pierce the insulation or do I need to go as far as cutting the connector off the MAT? Is there another way to do it?
For those of you unfamiliar with the post. I am trouble-shooting a bad MAT sensor by hooking up a 2.2k (roughly 85 degrees) resistor to bypass it. If there is no more trouble codes I know it was the sensor, if there continues to be codes, I know it's getting grounded out somewhere (or something else un-kosher). You have now been informed.
Any help from the peanut gallery is very welcome. Thanks in advance.

Disconnect the connector to the MAT under the plenum. Then insert the ends of the resistor into two corresponding "female plug" on the connector to the MAT.
The resistor should "bridge" the connection between the two "female" connenectors.

Sweet. Thanks Glenn.
I'm going out to do it now, I'll know by Thursday (next time I really plan on going anywhere that is some kind of distance from my house) what the results were of my tests.

I'll let you know in the morning if I notice any first impressions.
