Get new heads, intake and cam.

After that go suspension crazy ... there's only so much power you can put to the ground w/ stock suspension before you're only hurting your times.

I would second that.

All the bolt on's you can buy will most likely cause engine failure when installed on a high mileage engine, Ive seen it before althought it doesent happen every time.
Start with a fresh engine rebuilt or replaced, a set of headers and if your still TPI see if you can pickup a better induction system like a stealthram, might find a used one on Ebay failry inexpensive.

if anyone can see GMPP listed let me know...

do any of those companies make crates? it would be way more effective for me to rebuild my engine and beef it up with parts AT COST then to pay for a whole new crate.

also, i'm buying these parts now because they are going to be much cheaper...i'm probably not gonna a new engine in until the fall/winter

... so do it. You asked if any of the companies made them!

Anyway, that's the list price for one. I thought you were getting one at cost?

I wouldnt go anywhere near that engine. All stock bottom end, crappy heads, crappy cam. Figure at least another 1800 bucks to get that engine anywhere near reliable performance.

I know its not on your list but you have 3 grand and you are half way to one hell of a drivetrain with the T-56 . MOSER 12-BOLT with gear of choice and the rest on trailing arms ,sway bars ,lower srings and if you have enogh left over poly bushings that stuff you can get at cost .Your sus is probley shot by now anyway and with more power you will just speed up the prosses . I you want to do cookers 411s with a 12-bolt should do the job real well

Exhaust, cam, intake (ductwork and manifold), then heads... thats the way I'd do it.

Don't forget about the cooling system though. Third gen F-bodies are hard enough to keep cool in stock form, modded can be even worse.
