Edelbrock Performer intake

I already made one post on this and got a little feedback, but. Is there someone that knows for sure if you should use the oil shield pan on the bottom of an Edelbrock performer intake? I know there are tons of people here with them. I did find a picture of one and it doesn't look like it would even fit.

Thanks

If you mean the stock heat pan that is riveted to the bottom of the stock intake...no.

I've never seen that done.
