Starter recommendation-383 w/TES headers

Starter recommendation-383 w/TES headers

The starter on my 84 Z28 is shot. I have a 383 with 10.5:1 CR and the Edelbrock TES headers, and I am now having problems with heat soak on my starter. Does anyone have a recommendation for a high torque starter for this set-up. I am concerned about clearance issues with the headers using an offset mini starter.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

CVR "mini-starter" is what I have on my high-compression 400 with headers. Zero heat problems. I should have done that years before I finally did.

If its just the heat soak thats a problem. Summit sales a solenoid relocation kit for 25.00 it will cure that for good.
