I'm building a new motor, and it's going in in a few months. Problem is, the current motor smokes when you start it or really get on it. Not bad for over 200,000 miles!
I have tried many of these oil additives, but none seem to do ANYTHING!
Has any had experience with one that works, even if a little?

The problem is your valve seals. They got dry/brittle, and basically just flake off. Replace 'em. Not that hard, just time consuming. You will like the results.

if you're seals are gone.... no additive will help. the seals harden, crack, and fall apart.
if they're just worn, then some of the thickeners and seal swellers in the additives will work.

Well, like I said, I have a new motor going in soon, I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to keep the smoke down. I've heard good things about Lucas... but if there's nothing I can do, I'll just run gear oil
BTW, I'm just kidding about that part
