sensors for engine removal
sensors for engine removal
I need a list and locations of all the sensors that need to be taken off the engine for the block removal. I don't know what the names of them are and am not sure of everything I need to remove. Things like the CTS and O2 sensor. Thanks I have a 1987 305 TPI. Also anyother things that I should remove before I pull the engine.

hey man..
here we go:
<ul>[*]under plenum there is the MAT and EGR[*]coolant temp sensor[*]sensor beside the CTS on the front of the block[*]temperature switch on the driver side between cyls 1 and 3[*]oxygen sensor on driver side exhaust manifold[*]distributor connectors[*]fuel injector plugs[*]throttle body linkages[*]throttle body vacuum hoses (one under, one on pass side)[*]9th fuel injector plug[*]knock sensor[*]starter connections[*]spark plug wires[*]ground on rear of the passenger side head[*]AIR system[*]water pump hoses[*]possibly the engine cooler hoses if you have rpo KC4 in your glovebox[*]AC connections, one on the front of the AC compressor and one on the rear[*]alternator wires, ground on the rear and it's plug[/list]
anyone else? i don't think i missed any, heh..
good luck man
I disconnected my O2 sensor when i started to lift my engine cuz it was too hard to reach when the motor was sitting in the car..
