no AC, no AIR pump.. need new serpentine belt.

Hey guys, I read over the tech article about removing the AIR pump, and the author had given a part # for the new belt. HOWEVER, his setup had air conditioning.

The AIR pump has been removed on my engine, and I have no air conditioning. I'm assuming that I will need a different belt than the one subscribed in the tech article.

Does anyone know which Delco part # I need? Thanks! Oh yea, I have a 92 Z28.

Just run a string around it to find out how long it needs to be, and count the number of grooves the belt needs. Any dealer can tell you the part number from those two pieces of info. I know how some other manufacturer part numbers work, but not delco.

An easy thing to do is to buy an AC delete pulley and just follow the routing that madmax put on his tech article. Otherwise just follow what rezinn said grab a piece of string and do it that route. My friend just deleted his AC and Smog and got the pulley to throw in there and it worked really well and it was pretty easy since the number was listed for us and how to route it. Good luck.
