LS1 beehive springs?
Anybody know anything about LS1 valve springs? I got a set here i want to use for cam break-in or maybe run. I am installing a XS-262S solid mechanical cam with .477 and .488" lift, but i'm adding 1.6 ratio roller rockers. So thats .509" and .520" Can the stock beehive LS1 valve springs take that kinda of lift? What is the installed height? Wheres coilbind? What are the spring rates? Anything really.
The springs are going on retrofitted aluminum LT1 heads on my 305.
Could stock LT1 valve springs work?

Do you know the installed ht?
If so, compress the spring in a vise or a c clamp til it lightly coilbinds then back it off til there's about .060 between coils, or some say .10 total (which never added up to me) and that should give you the max lift.
Other than that, the max lift limitations would be in the head itself.
Hope that helps
