Will the 87 inkake manifold bolt up to aluminum L98 heads?

I'm betting the corvette aluminum heads p#12556463 and was just wondering if the base from my 87 IROC will bolt right upto them. I'm thinking that it will as it's an 87. Just wanting to double check though.

Thanks for the time

Robert

Nope, the aluminum vette heads have the pre-87 intake bolt pattern so you would need to modify the base to get it to bolt up properly. Its a matter of elongating the center 4 bolt holes so they line up with the holes in the heads.

I'll just get one of edelbrocks aftermarket bases then. Does anyone know the part # for the one I need?

Thanks for the time

Yah, any of the aftermarket TPI intake manifolds will work. I think Edelbrock's part number is 3860.
