Manifold leak - can this cause idle problems?

Gradually getting worse, my car was having trouble holding its idle above 500rpm after a warm startup (only for a few accelerations each time and then everything would be fine).

Now, I can hear a manifold leak at the engine and the RPMs drop real quick when i push the clutch in. Sometimes it just stalls out, other times it bare idles at around 500. My Tac normally reads 750ish when its warmed up.

Can these 2 problems be related? I remember the last time I had an idle problem, a vaccuum tube had been chewed through. I know this is exhaust gas, but could it be "too easy" for the engine to get the exhaust out and have the idle drop real quick because it doesnt have to do any work forcing the air out? The idle drops so fast, its hard for me to shift in time before the engine is spinning slower than the clutch.

Btw, there are no codes in the computer.
