Everyone with an Accel intake base, I need help!

I can't seem to get my PCV valve into the spot in the intake, it just won't go in. Its like the port for it on the new base is too small or something. Did anyone else have this problem? What did you do? Or what can I do?

The PCV valve goes in the valve cover. The nipple fitting for the PCV valve vacuum line goes into the intake. I used the nipple fitting supplied with the intake. At first I had a hard time making it fit but eventually, 5 min., I managed to finaly get it in. I agree that I was a bit frustrated with it at first, thinking it didn't fit, but eventually it went in.

Another problem I had with my intake is that the front edge of the intake stuck out too far in my 1985 v-belt setup and contacted the bolt for spacer for the alternator. So you may want to check for that.

My accel runners also contacted my fuel rails so I had to do some grinding there too.

...and some of the brackets/supports that bolted to my manifold also had to be modified severly to work with the intake base.

Good luck.

James

Yeah, I didn't get a new fitting with my intake. Should I call Accel and ask them about it? Thanks!

It's worth a try. Since I didn't use my old fitting I can't verify if the threads are the same, but they look about the same, 3/8 NPT.
