Edelbrock TES headers smokeing

Is it normal for Jethot coated TES headers to smoke (burn off) something when new? It might be something I got on them myself.. I don't see anything on them.

I think the Jet-Hot coated headers shouldn't, but mine I bought non-coated, and the orginal black paint burned off for 2 weeks on mine.

I started it again and I think I figured it out. Its much worse on the passenger side and I think I might have got some trans fluid on them when I filled it up.
