My camaro was being a bitch today. It has a fuel tank of gas, I filled it up this moring but it was jerking like a car that ran outta gas. And just dieing off. Over and over the engine just stoped, started up put it in drive and ... dead. It was as if the car had no gas. My best guess is the fuel pump might be bad. Its an 89 RS Camaro with 305 5.0 liter engine. Stock fuel pump. The fuel gauge don't work worth crap.

What should I do? I'm a novicest and fuel line is alittle advanced for me. Should I get the fuel pump replaced or repaired, and have someone check the line and engine for any other problems? Some hints and ideas. Thanks

 

Didnt some kids not too long ago leave a deposit in your gas tank?

Buy/rent/borrow/steal a fuel pressure gauge and check it up front and see if its getting pressure.
