idle fluctuation
i have been haveing some trouble with the idle on my car. when i startit the rpms go from 500- 2500 repeatedly, it only does this in park and nuteral, i changed the o2 sensor but it just made it worse, now the car almost dies when the rpms bottom out at 500, could it be the throttle positioning sensor? is my engine destine for the junk tard? i need some help here, i am sick of changing parts for no reason.

Welcome aboard!
Is this only a problem at idle? How does the engine run under load? Have you checked the egr to see if its blocked open? Any air leaks in the ducting leading from the MAF?
It could be a possible problem with the IAC, but those sort of fluctuations are a bit severe even for that.
