Another Sarter Question
Another Sarter Question
I have a 90' RS with a 3.1 V6.The problem is,I'll get in the car and it will start right up fine. Then after I drive it for a while and shut the it off, sometimes it won't start again.I turn the key and not even a click. Then if I wait for about an hour,it will start right back up with no hesitation. It usually only happens when the temprature gets up to around 220.Is it possibly a lose connection to the starter?Or an overheating problem? All of my cooling system seems to work fine.I have a fan switch and usually run it non stop.My raidiator,02 sensor, air dam, hoses, and coolant level are all new and in working order.I don't know about the water pump and thermostat though. Also I recently got an alarm installed and it acts wierd when ever the car won't start. Those are the only things that I can think of.Sorry about the post being so long.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Its either one of two things. Your VATs system (if you have one, its the little black spot on your key. if you dont' have that then skip this) or your starter is getting head soak and its on its way out. If thats the problem just replace the starter and you'll be good in no time.

more than likely the starter is on its way out,I just replaced mine cause it did the same thing yesterday.I just got to work and it wouyldn't even click,I came out later it made that great starter dying noise and then I took it out,put the new one in and waaaLLLLAaaah. No more problems,Plus starters are pretty cheap,$36 my cost
