pulling engine with wire harness

pulling engine with wire harness
can i pull the engine out with the wiring harness?? if so what part of the harness do i disconned besides the part behind the fender

I guess you can, but why? There are two harnesses in the engine compartment, one for the motor and one for other electrical stuff (alt, headlights,etc). The second one connects under the brake booster on the firewall. The problem is that some of the wiring is mixed together and you might have more of a problem figuring out what goes out with the engine and what stays under the hood. I would take pictures and use masking tape to make labels of what went where.

that sound wierd....i was trying to save work.... its a car thats being parted out i have a 92 rs 305 tbi im transplantting into a 87 trans am that has a 305tpi in it so i have to remove the wire harness... well whats left of it anyway... and put the rs one in there ...
