Eagle ESP Crankshafts

I found a really good deal on an Eagle ESP crankshaft. Its a 4340 Non-twist forging. I dont know much about eagle though. I was wondering if anyon knows about these cranks and what kinda HP they can handle. I know a 4340 non-twist forging is about the best crank that you can get aside from a crazy billet $$$$ crank. Anyway, any if tha you can provide would be great. Im looking at putting out about 500hp at the crank with up to a 200hp shot of spray on top of that. The guy selling it says it can handle over 1000hp but I want to be sure before I lay down my cash. The only other thing bout this crank is that it is cut .010 on the mains by Eagle. The guy said that doesnt affect its HP handling ability but the price is almost too good t be true. Thanks for the help.

I bought one off ebay few years back. They also stated it was good to 1,000 HP.

If I remember right I gave $380 shipped for it new. Then paid a local machine shop $100 to turn the 400 crank to 350 mains. It was still cheaper than buying a 383 stroker crank.

From what I've heard about them their a decent brand.

I plan on spinning it to 7500 RPMs once and awhile.

Make sure it matches your rear main seal on your block and then check if it's internal or external balanced.

Thanks for the info. These cranks seem like the deal of the century. You figure a Callies or Lunati of the same performance range would cost $1500+ or so for a 4340 Non-twist crank. I talked to the guy at eagle yesterday and he said they are rated for 1500hp. The ones that are undercut .010 have a reduced HP capacity, like only 1200hp, oh darn. As soon as I get some spare cash, my crank will be on order.
