Best place to lookup a Vin #?

I FINALLY Got an IROC! Going to give the guy a check tomorrow!

Just wanna run his vin though just in case....

theres a vin decoder on this board. Go back to the main page and look for it.

I meant to check for floods, accidents....etc

Carfax is good, except they tend to be misleading.. You enter in the VIN, and it'll say "You have so many important records", but you have to pay to find out what those records are. In my case, they were "Your car passed emissions" or something else rather stupid.

They are records of events that happened with your car. I think they are ALL important, even ones that say "did not/did pass emissions). Of course you always have the very important ones like "flood" etc...

I would spend the money for the carfax. It will tell you alot, and you will have peace of mind. It will tell you if there was odometer fraud,accidents,about emissions,Floods, rebuilt title, if the car was a rental or lease, etc. It isn't that much money for a little peace of mind.
