How can I hook up a fuel pressure?

My car was hesistating from time to time on the track, the rpms dropped quite a bit one run. How can I hook up a fuel pressure gauge to find out how much pressure I have?

The car is a stock 1982 Trans Am, LG4, Q-jet, with a mechanical fuel pump.

Whoops, guess that's kind of important. It's a stock 82 LG4, Q-jet, mechanical fuel pump. Because it doesn't hesitate all the time, I was thinking the heat from the headers(which are ceramic coated) could be boiling some fuel in the lines. But, I'd still like to find out if the fuel pump is working properly.
