not sure where to start- idle/hesitation
I just got done with my motor swap and have an idle/hestitation problem that I need some direction on. Here are the specs on the motor and what I have done so far. 350ci, 3310-2 Holley 750, cam 204 in., 214 ex. @ .50,lift .421/.444. Fuel Pressure set to 5psi. Set floats dry to holley specs. (tried while idleing, 3 foot flames out of hood) Timing set to 8 degrees advanced (base timing). 72 main jets, 6.5 power valve. Idle set at 900 RPM. Using #2 hole on brown (plain) pump cam. The hesitation is right off of idle, I need to feather the throttle or double tap it then it runs fine. I have also noticed it if running at a low RPM and try to increase throttle slightly. The idle will jump around 900 down to 600 up to 900 down to 500 then die occationally. This doesn't happen always, seems to be worse when car is warm. Also smells like it is running a little rich. Idle/Air screws set at 1 3/4 turns out. Any direction as to where to start would be much appreciated.
