Modifying intake for vortec heads?

I wanted to know if I can modify my performer RPM intake to fit vortec heads by drilling the holes straight down to match the vortec heads. I did a little damage to my heads, and if it's going to cost almost as much as a set of vortecs, you can guess what I'm going to do. just keeping my options open. Thanks

Car: yep
Engine: uhuh
Transmission: sure does
The vortec heads only use 8 bolt holes to mount the intake for starters....not just the angle is different.

I belive the ports are a little off also.

Not feasible. Bolt holes aren't even in the right places. Ports would also be pretty badly mismatched. Only option is to get a new RPM that is made for Vortecs. Not too much money...

And it's the heads you can buy predrilled for regular style intakes, but you don't want those either. Like I said there are port mismatch problems with standard intakes (some intakes can't physically even cover the ports, much less match them for good flow...) And the Vortec's don't really have enough meat in the area where several of the new holes go. Only person I've known with these predrilled heads had problems with stripping the threads out pretty quickly. Scoggin Dickey prototyped doing this and refused to sell them due to the inherent problems. Do not go that route for anyone considering it. Just buy the damn regular heads and the intake made to fit em...
