HELP!!! please

OK, when my car is cold(sitting for over 2 hours and completely cold) it starts right up with no problem. But, when i drive any trip over 15 minutes or so and the car get good and warm, It will not start. I figured, no big deal, my headers are close to my starter and it probably gets hot and wont start. I bought a new starter and th same problem occurs. If i let it cool back down, it is fine. Can someone tell me what s wrong with this? Or has anyone had any similar problems? I thought maybe it was the ignition switch or a relay or something.
thanks alot

I know it sounds simple and stupid, but have you checked the battery voltage? I just recently, about 3 mos. ago, changed my battery. I haven't had a problem since. My Delco Freedom battery started to fly away to freedom, so I showed it the window!!!!

would that cause it to noy not start when its hot? I havent checked my voltage yet, but my stereo works fine and my power windows work. My car just wont crank. The snap on code scanner did say that my battery's voltage was low. Ill look into it. thanks alot

My guess would be the starter needs some heat shielding. My friend was having similar problems with his car,if I remember correctly he got the new starter with heatshielding for JEGS or JCW,cant rember though. He hasnt had any problems with it since, starts up everytime even after hes driven it for hours upon hours.

I was thinking the same thing about the heat sheild, but i have had these headers for over a year and never ran into this problem before.

I also jumped the starter by putting power wire that goes from the battery to the starter and touched it on the other connector on the starter(cant think of any other namefor it, i hope you guys know what i mean) and it started right up. So i now know its not my battery. I think i might just put a start button on it as described in the tech section if i cant figure this out soon. This is my daily driver and i cant even go to the store without waiting over an hour to be able to start my car again.
thanks for the suggestions

Over time the heat could have ruined the starter, good possibility. What ever you do I hope it works.I havent driven my baby in 10 months "rule one to 17 year olds learn about motors so you can rebuild them quick. My mom forced me to get my V6 rebuilt by this snail paced 65 year old man.this wensday I should finally get it back with my new exhaust. The bad thing is that i work at Street & Performance and could have got a 5.7 really cheap and had it put in less than a few weeks not 10 mother fuc$%^!&#*($(*@#^*&#@*#%&$^^@&#$@^@*^*@^&months. ...................sorry had to vent some steam.
