If i rebuild an engine with all the assembly lubes is it ok to let the engine sit for a few years? WIll the lube be as good as it was when i put it in?

Yes. It can sit indefinitely. However, if you know it's going to sit for a long time, use something relatively heavy for assembly lube, such as synthetic gear lube; and put the engine in a well-sealed pastic bag to keep it clean.

Make sure NOT to have presure on your valve springs, have the rockers louse.
After a period of time the valve springs will get weak!
