Ignition switch replacement?

What's next!?!?!?! I just spent 7 hours replacing my fuel pump and now this!

I'm noticing sometimes after starting the car, I don't have power to all my accessories. The cooling fans, windows, A/C don't work. The radio, mirrors, dash do. Thats all I've noticed so far. If I wiggle the key, they all start working again. Wondering if this could have had something to do with my pump's demise?

The ignition switch has always been a little loose, didn't seem to be bad enough to cause a problem. Do I just need to replace the switch itself or could there be another problem in the column? Also, how difficult is it to replace?

Thanks in advance!

Ken

You may have a defective ignition switch, or the linkage to the switch may be maladjusted (like most Honda drivers).

This may clarify things for you a bit:

Hey Vader,

Thanks for the pic. Are you referring to #63,ignition switch actuator assembly? How would I go about checking it?

Thanks,

Ken

The switch is held on the column by 2 screws. They go through slots in the switch. Get up under there and investigate it.
