What are 95 lt1's running?
you might get better responses if you posted this in the street racing forum, then once you find out what they are running repost here asking what will it thake to get into the 1x.xx?
I would answer you question directly but I really have no idea sorry.

well, it really depends on the driver there. my 94 with just over 100k on it went 14.07 with only mod being a ram clutch and an air foil. the clutch really was hardly a mod since the stock one would have been able to hold up if it were still in decent shape. that was 14.07 with a 60' time in the 2.3's. i'm going to figure out yet how to get this thing out of the 2.3's for 60'. stock even down to ac plugs and paper ac air filter. i have seen most at the track going 14.4's and 14.5s with average drivers though.
my friend has a slightly modified '93 and he ran a best 14.5 on a bad strip, also his first time to the strip.

At my track the stock ones all run in the 14.4/14.5 range. 9.3s/9.5s in the 1/8.

Was your 89 a dual cat 3.27 geared car originally? (I'm thinking not since you now have a single cat). That means you should be packing 2.77 gears. WEAK. If so that makes it more difficult, but still with just a few mods you'll be in range of the LT1s easily. The LT1s run around a 14.0/low 14 on average. You should be running around a high 14 now most likely with the 2.77s (assuming good state of tune, decent track).
Port your plenum, install a AFPR and bump the pressure up a bit, get at least some 3.2x gears (preferrably 3.4x), and install some headers and you should be in a much better position to take on stock LT1s...
