re-calibrate gauges?

Ok, we all know factory gauges suck for accuracy, and they only get worse as they get older. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck recalibrating the factory gauges so they were somewhat correct again or replacing thefactory gauges with aftermarket ones but in place of the factory ones (in dash where the factory ones were so that you couldn't tell the difference).

So far my oil pressure sensor is sporadic (likely due to a bad sending unit though) My voltmeter reads more than a volt lower than actual, my tachometer is off more than 200 rpms lower than actual and I can only hope that at my speedometer is accurate.

I have the 92 camaro service manual but i dont think it goes into how to recalibrate gauges. So am i stuck with crappy guages, or will i have to go with a bunch of dumb gauge pods and have duplicates all over the place?

I would also like to know how to recalibrate the guages. Also on how to fix the speedometer. If the guages r computer controlled, i would think you could take it to someone who does computer work on cars, and they might be able to fix them.
