I think you need the slave cylinder from the T56. Or is that the one you're using? The stock thirdgen one wont work.

You must be talking about the clutch master cylinder and it not working with the pedal. I have not done this mod so I don't know what your problem could be. Are you trying to use the fourth gen clutch master cylinder in your third gen with third gen pedals? I would bet that you need to use the third gen 5speed clutch master cylinder assembly. That way the rod will definately fit onto the pedal correctly. I'm not really sure.......... Check out the tech article on this site for swapping in a T56.

What do you mean by it not fitting? Is the hole at the end of the rod too small or does the rod not line up at all?

I would also remove the bushing like others suggested. If it still doesn't fit, you could always enlarge the hole slightly.

If you remove the bushing, the hole is too big and the pedal will feel sloppy.
I've "heard" you can just force it on with a pair of vice grips and discard the retaining clip.
If you're good, you can modify the bushing so it will fit. I used a rat tail file and cut the top and bottom "lips" off the bushing (actually, one just comes off).
