Lots of white smoke... need help.

Lots of white smoke... need help.

well i just did a cam and head swap and somethin aint right... i fired it up and it was fine for a little bit then it started smokin alot... thick white smoke like steam. everything should have bin done properly i rechecked my work a few times. is there anything i can check/do before i start to rip into the motor again?

What head bolt torque did you use?

70 ft lbs is what dart reccomends..... and what i used... i even torqued them first at 20, then 40 then 70 following the sequence.

on a side note the exhaust smoking reminded me of that cheech and chong movie..up in smoke lol

but i bet ill have to pull off the heads again unless u guys have any ideas

Did you check for deck warpage on the block? Try a leakdown test too. That way you might be able to get away with only pulling one head.
