rough engine at 2000 rpm only, what is that?

hi guys, i have a 350 powered camaro-87, 5 speed, 4bbl rochester carb, vacc sec. with accel ignition, superstock wires and bosh platinun+4 spark plugs.
for a while now i have that vibration feels like something is gonna go to hell, but only at 2000+ - 50rpm so its a very close range where it fails, the ignition i tried at 8, 10 and 12 degrees advance and still the same.
would it be the harmonic balancer?
i got no idea, any info will be very appreciated.
fernando.

I have the same problem. I believe that it is in the transmission. I have found that the vibration is in all gears. If I am traveling and I press the clucth in and rev the motor to 2000 there is no vibration. If I put the tranny into netural and rev the engine I can feel the vibration. I have also notice that under light acceraltion going up a hill that the vibration is worse. Please keep me posted it you have any luck solving hte problem

I taking a guess but from what I have read if it is the stock T-5 and your 350 is pushing more then 300 torque you will fry your tranny if you play to hard. Just my though.

that is correct, mine isnt the WC T5, so i'm not going "***** to the wall", still the only problem that bugs me is that rough engine at 2000 rpm.
