Anti-freeze on passenger side carpet

I dont see any antifreeze spitting out when car is hot... and I dont hear a hissing noise.
The antifreeze seems to be puddle at the floor mat... I dont see wet drip marks or feel the antifreeze anywhere but under the carpet..

Window steams up in front? Must be a heater core???

Congratulations!! You are now a winner of the PITA job called a heater core replacement! You look forward to executing mind boggling diatribes of fanciful dictation as you try and wrestle with a task that countless have suffered through before...

Ok, just don't get lazy and by-pass it for 'just the summer' b/c you'll be back on here in the winter trying to figure out how to do it while pocketing hand warmers.

HEATER CORE?

I would say "yes" to that analysis! IMHO.

A friend of mine did that. Then when it got too cold he decided to call me to 'help' him with it. He showed up at my door and I handed him a bunch of these: and told him to keep warm. He was lucky too because we got a week of sub-freezing temp that started two days after. Nothing motivates you like 40º weather. .... well... maybe rain... snow... freezing rain... ah you get the point.

The Haynes manual for our cars has pretty good instructions if you've never done it before. Until you get it fixed, make sure to run a hose from your water pump to the intake manifold so you don't lose any more coolant. Heater core replacement in our cars is lengthy because you have to pull back THE ENTIRE DASH. Lots of screws...I always seem to end up with some left over.

Actually not true. I did mine without removing the dash. Just loosened the passenger side and pulled it out about 3 inches. Gave me a little more room to try and get that top screw on the heater box.

Didn't think about that. I had never done it before on an f-body until last fall. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room to take it out. But, if it's possible to just loosen the passenger side that's awesome. I would just be careful when pulling the pass side of the dash that you pull too far and break anything.

I've replaced the heater in my car twice. The first time I used the Haynes instructions. It took me 8 hours. I only managed to get the dash loose and moved back about an inch. The Haynes manual has a lot of extra unnessary steps. loosening the dash made it easier to get the heater core out.

The second time it only took about 4 hours to do. I just wrestled the heater core out without messing with the dash.

Its been years since I last did it. The biggest problem I had was gettin one of the hoses to let go of the old core.
