cam break in additive
Hi, i'm about to fire up a new motor...what is the comp cams break in additive? where do I get it? also, do I just add this in with the regular 10-30 oil that i use? run for 20 min at 2-2,400 rpm and then drain right?

The Best "Cam breakin Additive" is GM's E.O.S.
(Engine Oil Suplement) . You can get it at any GM dealer's parts counter.
Get two cans/ bottles.
Dump one can in the motor with normal 5 or 10w 30 oil.
You don't have to drain the oil after 20 minutes running.
Start the motor quickly and keep the engine rpm up over 2000rpm for 20 minutes.
Make sure the motor does not overheat.
Then if the valves need touch up adjustment, do them.
Make sure the ignition timing is set properly with a timing light.( not by ear)
Drive the car around avoiding extended idleing for the first week. Drive it just like you plan to use it. Don't baby it but don't overrev it either.
Drain the oil after 1 week of driving and add the 2nd can of EOS to you oil change. replace the fllter and cut the first one open for inspection.
You can continue to add a can of EOS to your oil at every oil change if you want. It has superior anti scuff and anti friction technology. It works. No other oil additive is nessessary.
You can switch to Synthetic or semi synthetic after a few oil changes if you want. GM EOS works with synthetic oil also.
Note: if you coat the cam lobes and lifter bottoms with Moly disulfide lube {recommended} (cam break in lube paste) "ISKY rev lube" it will show up in the oil filter on inspection. Its ok.

hey not to be rude, but i read the back of it and it said "GM does NOT reccomend the use of this as an additive, just as an assembly lube" I am afraid to add it.
