Normal temp for a 305 TBI?

I bought a 91 Camaro RS a few weeks ago, and I totally love the car, it runs great for a 305, it has 112 k miles on it. It usually hovers a little under 220 degrees but it gets slightly over 220 in town, like city and slow moving traffic driving. Is this the normal running temperature for a 305 TBI? I know my Monte Carlo had a 305 4 bbl and it didnt usually run that hot. If it is too hot, should get a cooler thermostat or what? Thanks in advance.

That's about the stock operating temperature. The thermostat is 190*, and the cooling fan turns on at 220*. I'm running a 180* stat and a 195* fan switch per JET's recommendations for the stage 2 chip I'm using. You can go as low as 160* for both stat and fan switch, but that's a bit low for my tastes.
