any thoughts would help
89 firbird 305 tbi i drove to work fine at luch it wouldn`t start no crank lights nothing used a jump box no again changed battery i got dome lights but when i hit the key no crank and the lights go out and stayed off for a few min
no real mods or anything changed car has vats ,fan wired to come on with the key,

Trace your battery negative cable to it's endpoint on the engine, check for looseness or damage. Check the other ground strap at the rear of the engine to the firewall.

If no visible indications, remove, clean, and reinstall both cables at both ends.

 

How many miles do you have on that starter? Sounds like a trip to Autozone.
