Long story short, a friend put my cables on, and stripped the negative terminal. Now, I would normally just pick up a new battery, but this one is only like 6 months old! It's a Duralast Gold, 1000amp battery, so I don't want to spend $75 on a new one.

It's a 3/8-16 thread, right? Any chance of a helicoil working?

Have you tried a new bolt for the battery yet?

Helicoils work fine, I used em on a battery I got for free cause it was stripped. The guy was gonna throw it out.

Just get a box of led sinkers for fishing....melt them into the hole...drill and tap. BOOM just like new.
