V8 AC in V6

I have a 90' RS with a 3.1 and currently have no AC at all.It was removed before I got it.I have a chance to get an entire AC setup from an 86'Z28.Will any of the parts work from the Z28 on my car? Thanks

No problem, the a/c in G.M. cars and light trucks are the same. The only differences have to do with hose lengths for various applications and the brackets for various engines, and of course the change from v belts to serpentine.

Be careful man, that 86 Z will have a V-Belt setup. Doesn't your car have the serp setup?

You will have to change the clutch over from
v belt to serpentine. It's not a big deal.
You need a G.M. clutch puller, and special snap ring pliers. Any a/c shop could change it over for you. If you walk in with the compressor and new pulley/clutch in hand, it shouldn't cost much to have them change it over for you.

Is the compressor also on the driver's side for a V8? I thought I remember seeing some funky-looking a/c hard lines on the passenger's side of the V8 I worked on lonnnng ago... brharris's deal would be the best bet.
