intake air temp and detonation
ok, so in tuning i have noticed a drastic difference in detonation resistance between varying intake air temps. with a temp of around 80* or less i can push the timing to the wall and get crazy-*** power. if the superram heat soaks, im doomed. at >120* iat it seems there is nothing i can do to eliminate detonation at peak torque. is there any solution to this besides the obvious (ie cold air intake, hood vent, coated headers, tb coolant bypass, icing the plenum at the track, etc)?
