Easy Fuel Filter question

When changing the fuel filter there are 2 bolts on each side of the filter. I know that you need 2 wrenches for the job. I know that you need to hold on to one of the bolts and twist the other so that the line doesnt twist and end up looking like a twizzler. My question is which bolt do I twist and which do I hold? I dont wanna screw this up! Thanks in advance.

better get line wrenches and maybe a fuel filter wrench. a fuel filter wrench is a 12 point wrench that's thin but has an open end. hold the big one and use a line wrench to loosen the smaller one

Thanks for the info. Its appreciated. I am assuming though if I cant get my hands on these wrenches mentioned, the wrenches I already have will suffice correct?

they'll work if you're careful not to round the corners off. Then you'll be stuck using visegrips. I got a set from sears for like 20 bucks. If it starts to slip off stop
