are these good heads for the money?
i have a set of heads available, they are aluminum l98 CNC cleaned and milled.they have a 2" intake,1.56" exhaust, and have screw studs and big springs. he says he has made 310 rwhp on his vette with them. they are 55cc chamber. my motor is a stock 5.7 for now, but heads and a cam are just around the corner. What do you think, he wants $750.00 for them. the cam i am looking at is a 211/219 .499/.525 @1.5,LSA of 112. your opinions are welcome THE SHAGGY IROC

Two problems:
1.) $750 is steep. I'd spend $170 more to get a brand new set of TFS 23* heads.
2.) L98 Vette heads don't have heat crossovers so your EGR won't work, and you'll trow a code 32. Not a problem if you're going to do some PROM programming.
If you could get them for $500 I'd say go for it, but there are way too many better heads for slightly more money than what he wants. If you do decide to buy them, make sure they're not warped, if you had to mill them again to clean them up, you're chambers would be real small.
That cam does look nice however. Might want to look into running 1.6's with it if those heads really do have "big springs", but check for coil bind and guide interference anyway. Good luck bro!
