Long time since last start... suggestions?

My poor 85 Firebird (with a rebuilt 355 all new parts, with about 15k on the rebuild) has been sitting for about 10 months. It ran out of gas last time I moved it (so there's no fuel in the tank), and I haven't had time to do anything with it. I'd drive it but there's a grinding in the front suspension - maybe a bad wheel bearing.

Even though I've got 2 new cars now, my wife's 04 Chevy Venture minivan and I've got a 05 Toyota Corolla XRS, I miss driving it around with the T-Tops out and burning some rubber (the Corolla XRS has fun to drive value but without the V8 rumble it's not the same )

I'm wondering though if I should do anything before cranking it, I know it needs gas and a new battery. I think the power steering fluid leaked out, there's a dark stain on the asphalt below the steering box. Should I drain the oil and replace it first? I took the air cleaner off and put a plastic bag over the carb before I quit driving it, and about 3-4 months ago I did crank it and it turned over, it tried to start with some spray starter fluid, but of course no gas = no run.

Then there's that pesky front grinding I have to figure out, and I think I need new lower balljoints too... Fun...

Change the engine oil & filter. You may need a new fuel filter after first running it again.

If you have one-

prime the oil pump with one of those primers that runs off a drill motor.

Have to take out the Dist. though.....
