Im thinking about sticking with my 350 TBI and selling the TPI parts. How much do you guys think I could get for this?? It is an L98 350 TPI with everything from wiring harness to ECM (everything you need for TBI-TPI swap I was told) I just havent got the time or money to switch them....The TBI runs fine on the 350 so I think ill keep it,im sure ill kick myself in the but later...but anyways, what do you think? This stuff is good to fair condition.

duno how much you could get for it, but i'm sure you could get a few $$.
you can mod your TBI to breath pretty good anyways. if not, you can always go carbed and make some serious hp
heck you might even surprise a few folk when you tell em they got beat by a TBI

external fuel pump eh? So what do i have to do to the one in the tank? And what about intake? Can I use the one for the TBI?.....Oh and what about wiring....I heard that a bunch of that stuff i dont need anymore...is that true?
You don't need a new fuel pump, just a regulator that is a return style, not a restrictor style. Mallory sells a really good one for about $60. It's a lot less expensive than a new pump. You should also be able to stick with you stock dist. You just have to keep the computer. I'm not sure about the manifold, but if I had to guess I'd lean towards yes, just because it would be cheaper for GM to make a carb/TBI manifold than two different ones. As for wiring, just leave it. Once you start cutting wires everything goes to hell, unless you really know a lot about it. I've gone both ways with this swap. I'm in the process of making a 2.3 Turbo Pinto(don't laugh it's fast) and a TPI to 4 bbl '89 Formula. In both cases the wiring is what has slowed me down the most. The hardware is a piece of cake, but it takes a really long time to sort out all of those wires.

TBI is good what are you talking about. It can breath much easier in high RPM's than a TPI can.
Most people think that the Lo3 engine is bad because it is TBI althought TBI is great...its the cam and heads that really suck.

well with the TBI on the 350 it seems to have quite a bit of power....i havent been able to drive it much yet, because there a still quite a few bugs that need to be worked out...but what can you expect from a $300 swap?

Hey ATO I saw a guy with a Pinto in the 9's or 10's on nitrous so I'm sure it will be wicked fast. How far are you with the project? I'm interested on what it takes to fab up an effective turbo system. As for the Pinto, just hope you don't get rear ended
