Heads for L69

What are some good flowing replacement heads for my 1984 carbed L69? Are aftermarket heads worth it or can you port and rebuild the originals with good results? I am running a TH350 and 3.73 gears behind it. I plan on changing the cam and intake. I will either rebuild or replace the carb and heads. ---Rich

Hey Jersey,

Yes, those L69 heads (either 416, 081 or 601 castings) are EXCELLENT when ported, polished and the intake valve increased from 1.84" to 1.94".

Follow the link at the end of my sig for everything you need to know to do it yourself and save a LOT of money over ANY other head on the market
