L98 engine and fast idle

Engine: 350 L98 / NOS
Transmission: 4sp Auto
L98 engine and fast idle
Car runs great and doesn't have any codes in the computer. But for some reason I don't have any fast idle for the cold mornings. It just started doing this after I replaced the A/C compressor. What controls or tells the computer the motor is cold so it can put more fuel to it? and how can I repair this? It's kind of a pain in the morning when I first try to start the car.
