Think you know thirdgens?
Here's a question to ponder your mind. Where is the vehicle speed sensor on an 87 trans am. There are two sensors(plugs) on the transmission other than the shift cable. Is one the sensor? Or is it somewhere else? Anyone care to guess?
I believe Pontiac switched to electronic VSS earlier than Chevy did, so you should have a round black plastic cylinder (VSS) on the drivers side tailshaft of the tranny with two yellow wires going to it. There'll be a clamp holding it in much like a distributor hold down. The driven gear sits on the shaft coming out of the VSS.
