1991 GTA, how much hp?

I just purchased a 1991 GTA 350, and I keep on reading different numbers in these posts. I had thought GM said my engine was 245 hp at the crank. Does anyone know how much hp my car makes at the crank and at the wheels?

Thanks,
Bill

The GTA probably didn't have quite as much HP as the Camaro; the Bird hood imposes restrictions on the air intake. Still, if the Camaro had 245, the Firebird probably had 240 or so.

So call it 240 for the sake of argument.

Those cars in stock condition usually put about 190 to the rear wheels.

If you want to know what your car REALLY does, take it to the dyno. All else is pointless guessing.

That includes the database.... while it's accurate as far as quoting the "factory specs", not all supposedly equal cars are created equal. Some are DEFINITLELY more equal than others.

I might also add, if you want to know how fast your car REALLY is, take it to the race track.
