a/c support bracket needed?

I'm swapping out my 305 for a new ZZ4, I've also installed an a/c delete pulley.
Do I need to re-install the a/c support bracket that runs to the exhaust manifold?
Is this to help support the weight of the a/c unit or to reduce vibration?
Thanks if you can help.

If you are asking about the diagonal brace between the exhaust manifold stud and the compressor upper mount, it is intended solely to reduce vibration of the compressor during operation.
