ok, im trying to check my ignition timming, but i don't understand where its supposed to be. i see the mark on the crank pully, but i don't know where to lign it up with... heres a picture (kinda)
is there supposed to be #'s on there or something, im clueless here.

One of them is 0°, I think it's the 2nd one up from the bottom... look at the tab closely, it's on there... they are 4° each notch, so from bottom to top they're 4° retarded, then 0, then 4 adv, then 8 adv, etc.

You might have to wipe off some grime to see the numbers. I don't remember exactly where the numbers are, but they are near the spikes, of course. I could only see a couple of them and had to figure out what the other notches represented.

88 GTA 5.7 TPI Charcoal Grey Bone Stock except for loose muffler which makes it a bit louder than normal.

 

Im pretty sure one of those grooves is larger than the others, that should be zero.
