The effect of having timing off by 1 degree?

Just checked my timing, and it is at 5B not 6B. I don't have the tool at the moment to loosen the distributor, i'll get to it tomarrow, but what kind of effects would I notice by having it one degree off like that?

you won't notice any difference what so ever. You could probably even advance it further. The distributor hold-down bolt is usually a 9/16" head and you can probably get to it with just a standard wrench. I bought the special tool from Autozone for like $5 a few years ago however. Comes in handy.
