hood scoop intake

I have an working hood scoop intake off an 82 camaro and I want to put it into my 84. Does anyone know where i am suppose to hook up the orange and black wires coming from the hood scoop motor. Or I was thinking about doing it myself and having the hood scoop open up at 2500rpms. I have 305 w/4-barrel rochester and dual snorkel air cleaner. Any suggestions, thanks.

Well, on my 83 T/A that has a functional hood scoop, the wires on mine go to a vacuum solenoid on my firewall. Out of the solenoid is a vacuum line going to manifold vacuum. I doubt you have this on the 84, so im not sure where you hook up the wires. Ill check mine for ya.
