What heads/cam to use???

Ok, Im getting ready to begin my next project and Im not playing around with 305's anymore. Heres what Im working with:

MOTOR:
'72 350 4-bolt main (currently runs)
bone stock, came out of a truck and doesnt smoke or leak a thing very clean, around 60k miles. Runs super strong. 882 heads stock everything.

INDUCTION:
Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI system (Part # EDL-3500)

EXHAUST:
Heddman 1 5/8 Long tube headers into True Dual exhaust with FLowMaster 40 series

TRANSMISSON:
TH350 recently rebuilt. 2400 B&M TorkMaster Stall Convertor....supposedly has a shift kit.

REAR END:
10 bolt drum Currently 2.73's...being upgraded to 3.42's/3.73's

My goal is to have a mid 12 second car or better. I want to go T56 but with the TH350 good and ready, Ill use it temporarily until I can get the T-56 swap done later on.

what heads/cam would work best. This is a street car so I want a good solid powerband, something I can punch at a 25MPH roll and feel that power throw me back.

NO Vortecs as I already have the intake and dont want to do Vortecs as my roommate uses those in his 383 IROC.

Got around 1000 to spend on this. Prefer to go to new heads but if theres some awesome used heads that will work, Ill hit that direction up and use the rest of the money on upgrading my suspension, etc.....

Im not limited to mid 12's......the faster the better, just I want it streetable and to have a strong power curve and doesnt peak out real quick and then drop off like a steep mountain....

Here's a head that I sell a lot of that my head porter also likes.
They are made by Renegade, not too well known yet but the specs and price speak for themselves!
190cc intake
64cc combustion chambers
2.02/1.60 valves
Straight or angle plug (I suggest angle for plug access with headers)
Early style (pre 87), non-EGR
Bronze Guides cut for .530 seals
Hardened steel seats
Accepts standard or center bolt valve covers
comes assembled with stainless steel valves
Dual springs for up to .700 lift
7 degree retainers
Machined locks
guide plates
3/8 screw-in rocker arm studs
here's the flow
.200 112.5 97
.300 163.3 135.5
.400 209.2 167.9
.500 243.5 176.4
.600 265.2 175.8

Now for the price $875.00
only a little over $300 more than Vortecs!

OH did I mention that these are aluminum!

For the cam, I'd go something in the 235-245 @.050, .540-.580 lift and 110-112 lobe separation angle. I'd go roller hydraulic. That should work good with your torque converter and not be too much for your EFI.

I cant go roller, Id have to convert the block as its a hydraulic lifter cam motor and considering Im not doing anything with the bottom end, I dont feel its neccesary to put any kind of metal shavings into the oil pan....though I may be purchasing a new deeper one of those.

Any more suggestions?

They make retrofit rollers for the older blocks. No machining.
